Tarkwa Bay Beach: Known as the most popular beach in Lagos, Tarkwa Bay is a favorite among both locals and tourists. It’s also one of the most affordable options, making it accessible to all. The golden sands and clear waters make it a perfect place to unwind.

Lighthouse Beach: This hidden gem is the cleanest beach in Lagos, yet remains largely undiscovered by many. It’s also one of the most affordable beaches to visit, offering peace and tranquility away from the crowds.

Lekki Conservation Centre: A trip to Lagos wouldn’t be complete without visiting the Lekki Conservation Centre. Home to the longest canopy walkway in Africa, this nature reserve is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Nigeria. Walking above the treetops on the suspension bridge was both thrilling and scenic, offering breathtaking views of the lush landscape.

Practical Tips for Traveling in Lagos, Nigeria

Getting Around: Use a local guide for convenience and safety. Ride-sharing apps like Uber and Bolt are reliable, while boats can help avoid traffic. Public transport can be challenging for newcomers.
Currency: The Nigerian Naira (NGN) is the official currency. ATMs are available, but cash is preferred. Exchange money at authorized offices for the best rates.
Packing Essentials: Pack lightweight clothing, mosquito repellent, a power adapter (Type D & G, 230V), sunscreen, a hat, and copies of travel documents.
